French 1940s Louis XVI Style Bedside Chest
A wonderful little bedside chest, done in the Louis XVI style, from 1940s France. The chest is topped in white marble, which is in excellent antique condition, and surrounded by a pierced brass gallery. The chest is composed of three drawers, which all have brass pulls and are trimmed in brass. The legs are slender and turned, joined by an undertier shelf, and have feet capped in brass sabots. Fluted carvings can be found on each side of the drawers and shaped details grace the skirt.
