French 19th Century Directoire Style Demilune Game Table with Inlay
A fun and functional Directoire style demilune game table from 19th century France. The table features beautifully inlayed legs, apron, and when closed, on the top you will find an inlayed chess or checkerboard. The apron has a drawer, where cards and game pieces can be kept, that, when pulled out, acts as a fourth leg to support the tabletop when opened. Opening the table exposes the round, felt playing surface: one ideal for card games. The long, slender legs are tapered and capped with brass feet.
