French 19th Century Louis XV Stool
This Louis XV stool has been graced with extensive detailed carvings that are a highlight of the style. The upholstered top is secured to the fruitwood base with brass nail heads just above the stool's shaped apron. Both the apron and cabriole legs are adorned with carved rosettes, and the scroll feet are embellished with acanthus leaves. The four legs are joined by a curved, crossed stretcher.
