French 19th Century Mahogany Demilune Buffet with Marble Top
This 19th century Louis XVI style buffet is constructed of fine mahogany and has its original white marble top that fits this breakfront piece perfectly. Two false curved drawers flank the functioning center drawer, all with garland pulls. The doors found below are masterfully made. The two outer doors are curved with reeded fronts and can be locked to conceal storage cavities, each with a single fixed shelf. The center compartment is hidden behind two reeded doors that close seamlessly into one another, and is also outfitted with a single fixed shelf. The buffet is lifted on four turned and tapered feet that have fluted carvings and feet capped in brass.
