French 19th Century Marble Top Mahogany Table
Heavily influenced by the Louis XVI style, this exceptional marble top table was made in France in the 19th century. The mahogany table is topped in an exquisite piece of Brêche d'alep marble that has turreted corners to fit the apron. The apron is adorned with carvings in twisted ribbon and pearl motifs, while the turreted corners have carved rosettes. The table's long, turned, and fluted legs are joined by a curved X shaped stretcher that is also fluted. It joins the legs at dies that have been embellished with rosettes just above the turned peg feet.
