French 19th Century Painted Louis XVI Corner Chair
A fantastic carved and painted Louis XVI corner chair from 19th century, France. Carved acanthus leaves embellish the tops of the arms, from which extend delicate, turned spindles that, along with the arms, form the chair's back. The seat is upholstered in a cross stitched fabric that shows minimal wear. The frame is painted a creamy white that has acquired a magnificent patina throughout its lifetime.
