Swedish 18th Century Painted Case Clock
An outstanding Swedish case clock all hand made from 1788. The banjo style case of the clock is made stacking boards to create the depth as you can see on the detail photos and has been stripped and repainted over many times before. The clock face is made of hand etched pewter inscribed with details of the clock including the family name of the 1st owners in 1788. The clock has all of its working parts and is in cleaned, working condition. Truly a piece of functional art! The clock chimes and needs to be wound with its hand forged key.
